What is “Eco-Luxe”?

A  few months ago, I was given an assignment to write about a new eco-luxe resort -- to be built in the dazzling Pyrenees Mountains, about an hour’s drive from Barcelona. Considering myself to be an advocate of a more responsible and conscientious way of living (I recycle, try to buy organic whenever possible, and only go to Holistic practitioners whenever something ails me), I was thrilled at the opportunity to learn more about how this lifestyle now incorporates into the usually elusive luxury market.

Imagine my surprise when I started my initial search engine research to discover that there was very little information about this topic. What I found was a domain site for the purchase of an eco-luxe magazine domain, a wonderful personal blog that stopped creating posts in 2009, and a plethora of other small businesses that had decided to capitalize on the clever name without really having to explain its meaning.
